Layers

Flash can be kind of overwhelming when you try to start making movies. There are a few things you can do to help keep it simpler.

When you make you movies, use a different layer for each animation. To add a layer, right click in the timeline and click insert layer.

Use a different layer for each animation so you can keep track of each individual animations.
When you use separate layers, you can lock a layer from being edited and you can even hide it so you don't mess anything up.

This can be a very useful tip once you learn to use layers properly.
